Happiness comes when you take your FIRST step towards your DREAMS

There’s a lot of people that search the web for motivation, for answers, for their purpose in life, but are they really going to find it there? We know this all too often we think google has the answer to every problem. We have found more acceptance in asking google or our social media friends what the answer is, what we should be, or what we ought to be than asking ourselves this very question. Our friend’s social media life is going great, “oh they must have their life put together, I have to ask them what I should do!” NO! I see this problem on the daily, I’ve been victim to it. iI thought the answer was trying to follow other people and be just like them, until I started running and had time to myself to think about life for myself and by myself.
No, running might not wake you up like it does me on a daily, but if you find something that you are so entranced in, a goal you want to reach so badly, that sure will! Story Time: Everyone thinks that when I say I love running; I have ALWAYS loved running. WRONG. I actually despised running growing up. I would cry when the P.E. teacher told me to run a mile. A mile was soo long! What should have taken me at least under 12 min would take me 15 to 20 min because I hated it that much! I think you get the point.
So I’m not even going to pretend I liked running, I won’t pretend you like running, even if you did come here to read about running. What I am here to say is running changed my perspective on life because it gave me a goal to better myself. Running took times that were the coldest and loneliest and turned them into learning moments, moments that unfortunately a lot of people turned to horrible habits and trouble for. I feel like I’m not alone on this stance, actually, I KNOW that I am not alone. Running kept me from the bad habits and the trouble, running is the reason I have met some of the most important people in life. . Of course I won’t go into direct detail, (but you can keep an eye out in other articles for them;)) but by simply running, there are things that have happened in my life, choices I have made, lessons that I have learned, that happened during runs that have brought me farther than I could have ever imagined. Running allowed me to see purpose.
Like I said before, no running might not be your heart and soul. But you’re here, reading this blog, so you’ve got to have some interest in running, at least a TINY bit. All I am saying is there are so many lessons to be learned from running, so many places to see and go that you can’t experience any other way. Stop asking for everyone else’s opinion or their answers. You need to find yourself again on the path that you need to be, you need to explore, think, and see things that will change your mind on paths that can only be taken when you get up everyday with purpose. You have a goal in mind and nows your chance to reach it before someone else has you working for their goal. Life is a race, you can choose to partake or watch, it is really up to you, but if you choose to partake, you just have to take the first step, and that is where your dream begins. Find yourself.
